 Summer Conference Information:

Issued Monday, December 01, 2008

Good Morning Colleagues

In light of the economic issues facing the state and specifically the SUNY system, the board of directors and I have decided to cancel both the winter conference in Cooperstown and the summer conference which was being planned for Syracuse. As budget issues unfold, we will look for the opportunity to partner with SUCF and other agencies as needed to bring you an informational meeting to air questions on budgets, processes, and protocols for doing business in this economic environment and the upcoming budget cycle. This will allow us to receive answers directly from our colleagues in Albany that speak our language.

We fully intend to hold our conferences in 2010 at the sites which were being planned for 2009. These sites, The Sheraton in Syracuse and  The Otesaga in Cooperstown  graciously resolved our contracts at zero financial exposure to the association with the understanding that we will place upcoming conferences with them.

The current slate of officers have agreed to remain in their current roles until such time we convene a meeting and elect a new slate of officer, which at this writing we assume will be 2010. I have attached the listing of officers and the board. If you have any questions please feel free to contact us.
